The blades at the rear end reach up to 3 feet and the ones in front are 4 feet long.
Simply put the four blade are katana-like so it has the same composition as any other Katana.

The shield is just for show ...so maybe wind resistance...bugs in the air...dust...

Yea, shields are made of transparent glass, but not the normal glass, something called Plexiglas or something, the kind of glass used is the same one used to build glass houses.
