No, godmoddy, basically, you won't be able to be effected by fire at all. Describe what types of burns it protects again.

2nd degree burns would require magic, after all you have spells that cost magic that don't even give 2nd degree burns...So I say make it so it protects you mildly from first degree burns unless you want to have it cost magic to use that protection.

And don't forget the description.

I may have more cost magic, like 5 for all first, 15 for all second, and 30 for all third.

That won't be fair at all. That'd be like someone paying 300 MP for a spell and the third degree burns wouldn't do anything as long as you put 30 MP into it.

Just make it slightly protect against first degree burns.
